A Black family torn apart by a parasitic system
The case of Iris Crum, starts with a fraudulent claim of abduction by her father Anthony Crum, a White man, against her mother Khaila Wilks, a Black woman. What started as a custodial dispute has spiraled into the criminalization of Khaila and the disappearance of Iris Crum, who has not been seen by the courts or the maternal family for over a year.
Despite there being direct testimony from Iris of the harm she experienced while in Anthony Crum's "care", she was repeatedly put back into the home while Khaila fights for her freedom and the right to parent.

This is clear bias where a Black woman is forced to fight a kidnapping charge and is currently labeled a threat to her daughter, by a system weaponized by Anthony Crum and the Crum Family.​​
